The monumental work “Cells – Choirokoitia” (222x444x12cm) by the Cypriot artist Theodoulos Gregoriou has, since August 2010, been part of the Patrimonial Collection of UNESCO and will be on permanent display in the premises of the International Organisation’s building in Paris. In the opinion of UNESCO’s Advisory Committee on Works of Art, the work, donated by the Republic of Cyprus, is the result of a successful combination of contemporary techniques and historic inspiration and fully complies with the established criteria of the Organisation for the enrichment of its collection. 

 

Το μνημειακό έργο «Κύτταρα – Χοιροκοιτία» (222x444x12εκ.), του Κύπριου καλλιτέχνη Θεόδουλου Γρηγορίου αποτελεί από τον Αύγουστο 2010 μέρος της Patrimonial Collection της UNESCO και θα βρίσκεται μόνιμα αναρτημένο στους χώρους του οικήματος της Διεθνούς Οργάνωσης στο Παρίσι. Το έργο, δωρεά της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας, είναι, κατά την άποψη της Συμβουλευτικής Επιτροπής Έργων της UNESCO, το αποτέλεσμα ενός επιτυχημένου συν- δυασμού σύγχρονων τεχνικών και ιστορικής έμπνευσης και ανταποκρίνεται πλήρως στα κριτήρια της Οργάνωσης για εμπλουτισμό της συλλογής της. 

 

L’œuvre monumentale « Cellules – Choirokoitia » (222x444x12cm), de l’artiste chypriote Théodoulos Grégoriou fait partie, depuis août 2010, du Patrimoine artistique de l’UNESCO et sera exposée de manière permanente dans le bâtiment de la Maison de l’Unesco, Organisation Internationale à Paris. L’œuvre, donation de la République de Chypre, est, selon le Comité Consultatif sur les œuvres d’art (ACWA) de l’UNESCO, le résultat de la conjugaison aboutie des techniques contemporaines et de l’inspiration historique et répond pleinement aux critères de l’Organisme dans sa volonté d’enrichir sa collection.
